BCB moves to new home
January 10, 2003 - BCB is now rehearsing at Westside High School. This school has excellent facilities, with plenty of practice rooms, orchestra, choir and band rooms for all three captions to rehearse, and is in a very nice neighborhood. Rehearsals have also moved to every Friday, 7:30 - 10 PM.
New BCB winterguard formed
November 15, 2002 - BCB has a new winterguard, named Blue Pride. It will be directed by Anne Montgomery, the BCB guard instructor, and Abel Vasquez, guard instructor at Tomball High School. The winterguard will permit BCB guard members the opportunity to stay in shape, compete, and recruit for the BCB field corps. Guard rehearsals will be every Friday, 6 - 10 PM. Later in January, Sunday rehearsals will be added to the schedule. Blue Pride will compete in 3 - 4 winterguard contests in the Houston area.
New assistant director announced
September 20, 2002 - Jim Sarbeck has agreed to serve as Assistant Director of BCB. He has played Contra with the corps for many years, and a is member of the Board of Directors. Jim also marched with the Velvet Knights when he lived in southern California.
BCB Fall rehearsal schedule announced
July 13, 2002 - The fall BCB rehearsal schedule was announced. There will be an Open House rehearsal Sunday, August 25, at Sharpstown High School, 6 - 8:30 PM. After that, rehearsals through the rest of the year will be every first and third Sunday of the month.
